Men?S Fashion News For 2010

If you are a fan of fashion without the fuss then some of the men’s fashion trends for 2010 will be right up your street.

The catwalks of Milan and Paris were awash with simple, sleek designs. Jil Sander, Calvin Klein, Prada and Dior Homme all perfected a pared down look with single breasted coats and straight leg trousers à gogo. Black and white were reoccurring colours and the clothes of tomorrow certainly seem to be inheriting plain and simple qualities.

If you fancy introducing a flash of colour into your wardrobe then look to fashion house Etro for inspiration; their 2010 collection had hints of purple paisley prints in the form of socks and scarves which added a quirky touch to simple, structured outfits.

Graphic-style abstract prints featured in the creations of several designers, including Versace’s futuristic-style collection and the designs of Moschino and Alexander McQueen.

T-shirts are an excellent way to introduce graphic prints into your wardrobe so head to the high street for the best choice in garments that allow you to express yourself in style.

Military trends have made appearances throughout the decades and are still filtering through to the high street. A military style coat or jacket is an easy way to integrate this seemingly endless trend into your wardrobe and will keep you warm and cosy through the changing seasons.

Military colour choices tend to be navy, green, black and grey. Coats can be single or double-breasted and are usually detailed with brass buttons.

When it comes to jeans you are spoilt for choice and the secret to looking your best is dressing to suit your body shape. The classic skinny fit oozes rockstar credibility whereas slimfit offer a more relaxed look.

Black is the color of style and attitude. A color loved by all. A perfect party wear color, it is usually said that you are not ready for a party unless you are dressed in black.  It is all this and more….much more than a mere shade, it is a persona. Fountainhead black refuses to adhere by rules and regulations and is one and only one in the shade card that does not reflect light. For all this and more, this mysterious color has been adopted by the fashionistas and has been sealed till eternity as a chic, sophisticated, sensuous, opulent hue.

One of the most significant hue for menswear- not only for its deep and mysterious look but also for its amazing ability to conceal fat and lend a sophisticated air to just about any body who wear it. It doesn’t matter whether you are fat, thin, fair, dark, and young, mid aged, or old……this color does justice to all. OctanMen, online men’s fashion magazine, tells you how you capture the magnificence of this tint.

Al a mode with black

Black in an unadorned shirt, ordinary trousers, or regular jeans brings in vibrancy and radiates a chic and sophisticated look that no other color can. The perfect hue for foggy, chilly winter days or evenings by the bonfire…..it is just what the doctor orders for the cold months.

Step into a dark trouser and shirt for office, on casual days full sleeve top paired with solid colored jeans, and soft sweaters, fitted jackets keep you feeling warm and appearing hot anytime of the day. Whatever you opt to pair it with, where ever you desire to flaunt this…be assured your look will be sharp, chic, and cutting edge.

As a rule, go in for soft fabrics for tops, T- shirts, and crease- free

Summer Fashion News From Oz: Catwalk News from Australian Fashion Week

So the weather might’ve taken a turn for the worst as we regress into a struggling spring, but even volcanic ash clouds couldn’t stop us from ranging over the globe to find breaking fashion news as it happens. Today marks the 15th Australian Fashion Week, and where we’ve been sure to keep a warmer plan-B wardrobe in case of sun-failure, our antipodean counterparts have been casting off everything possible to emerge beach-ready at the feet of women’s clothing and fashion. The back-story to this celebration of the best Aussie catwalk collections reads like a topsy-turvy version of complaints and outcries on our side of the world during the European Fashion Weeks, with the burgeoning of what is set to be the world’s first aboriginal (really?) face of Vogue, Samantha Harris (18), who took to the runway today in Sydney before a dazzled crowd. Compare this with French V’s still quite unbelievable treatment of racial identity not too long ago, and things seem a little inside out. Further furore came in the form of pleas from plus size friendly clothing agencies accusing the designers and stylists of skinny elitism in their selection of models, the complaint being that this marked a backwards step for Australia’s bid for establishing itself as the leading fashion base outside of Europe. But what of reports from the collections? There are many instances that can be provided. Fighting through the Avatar-themed model stuff was a trend for bikinis worn with platform boots in electric neon colours, at least showing that you don’t need to enter the body of a blue alien to bring some long, lithe legs into your poolside look. Bathing caps were also an ironic favourite that seemed to work better than had been intended, coming in a range of just as bright colours, and
